The theme of the conference was “Economic Strategy: Surviving and Thriving in an Era of Disruption”. We welcome scholars, researchers, as well as corporation and government executives. SEABC is an important international society of economists, social scientists and educators, founded to promote education and scientific research. SEABC is an annual event of Faculty of Economics Universitas Sriwijaya since 2015, currently entering its fourth year. Our conference enables you to present your research, meet new colleagues and improve your research skills. Attending a scientific conference is always a great opportunity to do some networking. This can help you to start new projects, find collaborators or jobs.
Certificate of presentation will be issued to participants presenting their research in sessions.
Certificate of chairing a session will be issued to chairs acknowledging their role at the conference.
Best Paper Award will be conferred by the Program Committee to the author(s) of the best paper(s) presented at the conference.
Prof. Dr. Bambang P.S. Brodjonegoro is an Indonesian economist. He is currently the Minister of National Development Planning of Indonesia. Previously, he was the Finance Minister of Indonesia from October 2014 to July 2016. As an academic, he is a professor of Economics at the Universitas Indonesia and was the Dean of the Economics Faculty, Universitas Indonesia. His research interest, include, Economics and Development Studies and regional decentralization.
Prof. Amine Tarazi, Ph.D.* is a professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Limoges (France) where he is currently the Director of a research center, LAPE, and Head of Master and PhD programs in Banking and Finance. He is currently an associate editor of the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, the European Journal of Finance and other Finance and Economics Journals. His current research interests are related to financial institutions, bank risk and prudential regulation.
Prof. Mehmet Huseyin Bilgin, Ph.D. is a full professor of economics at Istanbul Medeniyet University in Istanbul, Turkey and the chair of the International Economic Integration Division. He is also the chair of EAFPEB (Euro-Asia Forum in Politics, Economics and Business) and founder of Istanbul Economic Research Association in which he currently serves as the Chairman. He is also the founder of EBES (Eurasia Business and Economics Society) and currently serves as the Vice President. His research interest, include, Macroeconomics, Labor economics, International economics and International finance.
Prof. Terry A. Marsh, Ph.D. is a professor emeritus of Finance at the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley. He is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Quantal International Inc. and Quantal Asset Management. Terry A. Marsh has consulted for the New York Stock Exchange, the Options Clearing Corporation, the Industrial Bank of Japan, New Japan Securities and Banamex. His research interest, include, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Econometrics and Statistics.
Prof. Dr. Norman Mohd Saleh, Ph.D. is currently the Dean and Professor in Corporate Reporting at the School of Accounting, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He has served as council member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He was the Chief Editor for Asian Journal of Accounting and Governance published by Penerbit Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. His current research interests are related to the area of accounting policy choice, earnings quality, and corporate disclosure practices.
Prof. Ahmet Faruk Aysan, Ph.D. is currently the Dean of the School of Management And Administrative Sciences at the Istanbul Sehir University. He has also served at the advisory board of the Contemporary Turkish Studies at London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) European Institute. His fields of specialization are international finance, macroeconomics, political economy, banking and finance, econometrics and he is a member of editorial and advisory boards of several international journals.
Prof. Hj. Badia Perizade, M.B.A., Ph.D. is a full professor of management at Universitas Sriwijaya in Palembang, Indonesia. Previously, she was the Rector of Universitas Sriwijaya from 2008 to 2015. She is currently the Advisory International Editorial Boards of Sriwijaya International Journal of Dynamic Economics and Business. Her research interest, include, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Operational and Production Management.
